Pneumatic diaphragm pumps are designed to pump numerous products: corrosive, abrasive, loaded, ... They are self-priming and can run dry. Available in synthetic or metallic versions.
Depending on the pumping principle, compressed air is used as a "motor" or more simply, an electric motor. The compressed air activates a distributor which, in turn, sets an axis in motion where diaphragms are fixed. Through their movements, these diaphragms alternately move suction and discharge valves. They are regularly encountered for pumping explosive and dangerous products, and different classifications of ATEX certificates are available. Easy to maintain, they are simple and lightweight.
Numerous accessories are available to adapt to process requirements. As for the electric execution, it is a connecting rod assembly that activates the diaphragms.
These pumps exist in standard or conductive plastic: PE – PP – PVDF – PTFE ... in metal: stainless steel 316 – aluminum – cast iron ... Hygienic versions are available.
