Positive displacement peristaltic pumps
Description and working principle
This pump includes a pump body and a rotor equipped with two pressing devices. Between the pump body and the pressing deviceses there is a flexible hose. By the turning of the rotor the hose is pressed so that a suction and discharge effect takes place. The pump is self priming and may even run dry. The specially reinforced hose and the pump body which is filled with a lubricating product to reduce the friction between the hose and pressing devices to a minimum. The hoses are available in various materials, connections are usually in stainless steel. Peristaltic pumps are mechanically very simple, very easy to maintain, "multifunctional", for the most various products: viscous, abrasive, corrosive.
